Dodoes

Dodo birds were very smart birds but people didn’t think so.

They thought the birds were stupid animals that couldn’t hide but actually they grew up on their island with no people and no predators. When people discovered them, they didn’t know they were supposed to be scared of people. They didn’t know how to hide, how to run away, and they couldn’t even fly. They had no defense.

Dodo birds are extinct animals because people ate them all. People thought that the dodo birds were stupid because they didn’t hide and their brain was so little. Now we know the dodo birds were quite smaller than we first thought, so their brain was actually quite big. Dodoes were as intelligent as pigeons. They lived on an island called Mauritius.
